Facebook’s new VR space for social interaction Horizon has just been launched. The space is in the beta version currently and it’s only accessible on an invite-only basis.

Helping people interact with each other amid the current COVID-19 pandemic, the virtual world of Horizon allows users to build their own space and even create their own games and play them as custom avatars. As described by Facebook, Horizon is “an ever-expanding universe of virtual experiences designed and built by the entire community.”

The virtual reality space is currently available on Oculus‘ Quest and Rift platforms in the U.S. and Canada until it has been decided whether it will arrive as a game, an app, or a separate social networking service altogether. Check out Horizon’s video below.
